The recomCLIA HEV IgG is a quantitative in vitro chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) for the detection of IgG antibodies against Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) in human serum and plasma (EDTA, heparin, cit-rate, CPD) from symptomatic patients or individuals suspected of infection with HEV. The assay is used for screening and aid in the diagnosis of infection with HEV and the associated diseases, in combination with other laboratory and clinical findings. This assay is not intended to be used for screening in donors and recipients to detect the presence of IgG antibodies against HEV in blood, blood components, cells, tissues, organs, or any of their derivatives in order to assess their suitability for transfusion, transplantation, or cell administration. The recomCLIA HEV IgG can only be performed as an automated assay using KleeYa® Instrument, STRATEC SE, by trained professional users in a suitable laboratory.
